RISOLA · LEGAL

Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

This policy covers Risola: Paint by Number for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and risola.art. “We” means the application provider identified on Risola’s App Store listing. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@risola.art.

2. Photos, artwork, and local information

Risola accesses the photos or files you choose to import. Photo conversion and image segmentation run locally on your device; we do not upload your selected photos to a conversion server or a third-party AI service. Risola does not use your photos to identify people, create facial profiles, train cloud AI models, or target advertisements.

Imported source images, generated artwork, coloring progress, collection names and covers, previews, timelapse data, favorites, and settings are stored in the app’s local storage. Local purchase-access and creation-credit records help the app apply available features and limits. There is no Risola account or Risola-operated cloud artwork library.

Your device’s backup services may include app data according to your Apple settings. If you export, print, or share an image, PDF, or video, the destination you select receives it and handles it under its own policies. Copies outside Risola are not deleted when you delete an artwork in the app.

3. Online services and information they receive

Image search — Pixabay

When you use the image catalog, Pixabay receives your search text, selected category, search language, image type, and page request. Pixabay and image-delivery servers also receive ordinary connection information, including your IP address and requested image URLs. This enables search and image downloads. Your imported personal photos are not sent to Pixabay. Avoid including personal or sensitive information in search queries.

Configuration, diagnostics, and analytics — Google Firebase

Risola integrates Firebase Remote Config, Crashlytics, and Google Analytics for Firebase. These services can receive installation or app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, language, region, app version, session and interaction events, and technical connection information. Remote Config supplies app settings and creation limits. Crashlytics reports crashes and non-fatal errors, including stack traces and diagnostic context. Analytics helps measure app use and service reliability. The information actually processed depends on the SDK, platform, and active service configuration. We do not intentionally attach your photos, artwork, or search text to analytics events or crash reports.

Advertising — iPhone and iPad

The iPhone and iPad app includes banner and optional rewarded advertisements through Yandex Mobile Ads and its mediation integrations: AppLovin, Liftoff/Vungle, Mintegral, and VK Ads/myTarget. Depending on the network serving an ad, these providers may collect device or app identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and network characteristics, ad impressions, clicks, reward events, and diagnostic data. They use this information to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertising.

Apple’s advertising identifier and cross-app tracking require your App Tracking Transparency permission. Risola requests that permission before initializing its advertising flow. Declining permission does not prevent coloring or earning an available ad reward; ads may still be shown without tracking permission. The Mac version does not include the Yandex advertising integrations. Plus removes the app’s advertising placements while the subscription is active; it does not disable other online services.

Purchases — Apple

Apple processes payments and manages subscriptions through your Apple Account. Risola uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information, such as product, purchase and expiration status, to unlock features and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple’s handling of payment and account information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Support and this website

If you email us, we receive your address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve your request. Do not send photos or other sensitive material unless needed for your issue. The website does not include analytics scripts, advertising scripts, cookies, or account registration. Its hosting service may process IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and access or error logs to deliver and secure the site.

4. Sharing and service providers

Information is disclosed to the providers described above for the purposes stated, to recipients you choose when sharing, or when necessary to comply with law or protect users and the service. We do not sell your personal photos or artwork. Advertising-related data exchanges may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under some privacy laws, even without monetary payment; applicable choices are described below.

Third parties receiving data through Risola are required to protect it at least as strongly as this policy and applicable Apple requirements. Providers may also act independently for their own services, as explained in their policies. Provider policies do not remove our responsibility for data disclosed through the app.

5. Retention and deletion

Local artwork and collection data remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app’s stored data. Delete both the artwork and any collection that retains its source photo if you want to remove both. Temporary files and derived caches may remain until the app cleans them up or its stored data is removed. Removing an iOS app removes its local container; offloading it retains documents. On Mac, removing the app alone may leave its data container. Contact us for help removing local data. Backups and exported copies must be managed separately.

We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request, related follow-up, and applicable legal obligations. Provider-held identifiers, diagnostics, analytics, advertising records, and website logs follow the relevant service’s retention settings and legal requirements; deleting the app does not automatically erase these records. For example, Firebase states that Remote Config installation IDs are retained until a deletion request is made through its service. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies.

You can request access or deletion by emailing us with “Privacy request” in the subject. We will take reasonable steps to verify your request, locate information we control, and coordinate with providers where appropriate. We may need information about your installation to locate pseudonymous records; an email address alone may not identify them. We explain any legal retention requirement or technical limitation rather than promising deletion of records we cannot identify or control.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

Where local law requires a legal basis, processing must rely on a valid basis: providing requested features, complying with legal duties, legitimate interests in reliability and security where permitted, or consent where required. This policy itself is not a request for, or a substitute for, consent. You may complain to your local data-protection authority and exercise applicable rights without unlawful discrimination.

7. International processing and security

Online providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States and countries where their infrastructure and personnel are located. Applicable transfer safeguards and provider commitments are described in their policies. We use the platform’s app storage protections and HTTPS for online requests. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Risola is a general-audience creative app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or below another applicable age of consent, without legally required authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Risola, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

9. Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law, and new consent will be requested where necessary. For questions about this policy or your data, email support@risola.art.
